If you are looking for the picture cards ...

We have two card designs that you can choose from and print: Photo motif and Graphic motif.

Do you have the picture cards?

If you want to try this app but do not have the picture cards, click either one of the "Download cards" buttons above (for Photo motif or Graphic motif) and get the pdf file including pictures. Print them with any printer available, or you can use another smartphone to display the pictures, as you see in the video near its ending.

For the best viewing experience, print the picture cards in color to A4 or Letter size sheets of paper in the original scale, by using options such as "Do not scale" or "Actual size" usually found in your printer dialog page. The five picture cards will then be printed to the standard post card size of 4x6 inch, or 10x15 cm. (Alternatively, you can print each floor plan on one sheet, and cover its portions by hand to see the section models as seen in the video.) Each of the four picture cards is designed to have the front and back sides, showing different floors (1F and 6F) of the building, and the title card (with the title, The GEAR.sg App) is used to show the roof on the building.

Cut and fold the printed sheets to prepare the picture cards, launch the app, and view them through the smartphone camera. You are now ready to explore The GEAR building in AR.

What is "The GEAR.sg App"?

The GEAR.sg App displays the 3D models of The GEAR : Kajima Lab for Global Engineering, Architecture, & Real Estate located in Changi Business Park, Singapore. Through the smartphone camera, the building's 3D models appear on a set of picture cards illustrating the floor plans, which you can move, flip, and combine with the models on them. This AR app was created by MIT Architecture Representation and Computation Group in collaboration with Kajima Development Pte Ltd.
